The importance of cobalt of the plant and the symptoms of deficiency, treatment, sources and fertilizer

The current information on the role of cobalt in plant nutrition is very low, but chlorophyll has been shown to increase with the presence of cobalt and has a potent effect on nitrogen-fixing bacteria. There are no clear signs of agricultural produce when this element is lacking. However, the high concentration of cobalt in the soil solution leads to plant poisoning and appears in light green color, brown spots in the leaves, then colorless, and the plant dies.

Quantity and sources of cobalt in soil:

           The amount of cobalt in the soil ranges from 1.5 - 12 ppm. The most important minerals containing cobalt are polished cobalt and dinanite.

Cobalt sulphate 38%.
